Fallstar drop surprise single, “SSRI Feel Better Already”

Facedown Records alumni Fallstar are back. The band just dropped a surprise single “SSRI Feel Better Already”.

Vocalist Chris Ratzlaf talks about the meaning behind the lyrics:

This song is about humanity’s will to live despite hopeless circumstances, and how those of us who struggle with depression lose that will. From indigenous people during their colonization, to kids born today into a world suffering irreparable climate change, there is a resilience in humanity to continue and press on. 

The song muses at this phenomena, while contrasting with my own crippling depression, and how SSRI medicine gave me back that will and drive to keep living.

The new single is part of an upcoming album “Sunbreather,” due out February 2021.
